How does a residential area designed for its future inhabitants in a world where, in economy, besides the GDP (Gross Domestic Product), life quality indicators will be important? The Design solutions competition aims at selecting the best solution for “Compiling a MASTERPLAN/Urban Zoning Plan for the Coloniile Sopor residential area of Cluj-Napoca”.

The Competition’s purpose is finding the best solution for redesigning the lands within the “Cetățuia” urban ensemble in the property of the Cluj-Napoca Municipality, as a start to capitalizing the entire urban ensemble and integrating it in the larger leisure system of the city.

The design competition objective is the finding of a contemporary architectural-urbanistic solution, which should be discreet and reverent in relation to the built heritage, a solution to convert the street M.Kogălniceanu in a high quality, safe, comfortable and adaptable public space.

Revitalization and activation of "Feroviarilor" Park (The park of railwaymen), Cluj Napoca

The meaning of this contest derives from the need to reconsider the presence of River Someşul Mic in the future development of the city as a result of insufficient recognition of the present uses of the river’s potential for the city, its inhabitants and visitors.

The reasoning behind this Competition is the opportunity of extending the current Park, in terms of capitalisation of the territory and from a functional perspective as well. In this manner, it would be possible to develop new areas intended to assume novel, modern functions related to the Open-Air Ethnographic Park.

The National Museum of Romanian History in Bucharest has set out to reassert itself as a contemporary museum of history, by revaluing its building and its relations with the urban context, by better displaying its collections, and by a higher quality of the cultural services it offers to the public.

The idea of the competition has come up after the opening in 2010 of the site for the underground parking lot in the University Square in the center of the Romanian capital.
